Campbell joins Newcastle on one-year deal

Newcastle, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Veteran defender Sol Campbell signed a
one-year contract with Newcastle on Wednesday, the club confirmed.
The 35-year-old Campbell made 14 appearances for Arsenal last season, but
couldn't agree to terms on a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.
"At this stage of my career I couldn't have wished for a better move,"
Campbell told the club's official website. "To join a club such as Newcastle
United, with its proud tradition, heritage and magnificent support, is
absolutely tremendous for me."
Campbell has been capped 73 times for England, while also playing with
Premiership sides Tottenham, Arsenal and Portsmouth during his lengthy career.
In that time, Campbell has captured two Premier League titles and four FA
Cups.
